Importing Borrowers & Staff
On this page
Preparing your data
Download the CSV template from the import wizard. Required fields: name, phone, ID number, branch, and existing loan balance if you are migrating an active book. Follow the template's formatting rules exactly to minimize validation errors.
Importing borrowers
Upload your file, let the validation pass run, review any flagged rows, then confirm the import.
Importing staff & assigning roles
Staff can be imported via CSV or entered manually. Each staff record gets a capability-based role and a branch scope at creation — see Admin & Security for how roles are built.
Handling import errors
Common errors: duplicate phone number, invalid ID format, missing branch code. Fix and re-upload just the failed rows — a full re-import is never required.
KYC and AML backfill
If the AML app is enabled, imported clients queue for a one-time sanctions/PEP screening pass before they can transact. Plan for this turnaround before your go-live date.
